What is Wellies and Worms?

An Outdoor Preschool Nursery: Where Organic Gardening Nurtures Bright Futures

Benefits of Outdoor Learning:

At our Outdoor Preschool Nursery, we believe in the transformative power of nature-based education. Our beautiful orchard, nestled within a heritage Oak woodland site, sets the stage for a unique and enriching learning environment.

1. Nurture and Well-Being

Surrounded by the serene beauty of the outdoors, children discover a profound connection with the natural world. This connection fosters a sense of wonder, reducing stress, and promoting emotional well-being.

2. Educational Advantages

Exploring our organic garden, children learn about the environment, life cycles, and sustainable practices. This hands-on experience provides a solid foundation for future learning.

3. Parental Engagement

We don’t just teach children; we empower parents too. Our programs include workshops to guide parents on how to interact with their children in a garden setting, extending the learning experience to the home.

4. Preparing for Early Years School

Our approach aligns with Early Years education, ensuring children develop crucial skills, from fine motor coordination to social interaction, preparing them for a seamless transition to school life.

5. Expertise and Experience

With the guidance of Forest School practitioners and over a decade of working with children in outdoor settings, our team is dedicated to your child’s growth and development.

Activities for a Range of Ages:

Our curriculum blends informal play and structured learning, fostering a love for gardening. Children also enjoy outdoor crafts they can proudly take home, connecting them further with nature.
